Asthma Support (Emotionally Triggered) Herbal Treatment - McDowell's Herbal Treatments

yca1.jpg

Real asthma is a condition where a patient finds it difficult to exhale during an attack and generally have difficulty breathing often sounding wheezy.

With recent inhalant medicines many other chest conditions have been classified under the same heading as asthma and so that nowadays many people who are really allergic and weak chested people who are prone to infection in the bronchial tubes are all classified as Asthmatics.

Those whose attacks are triggered by emotions seem to have a complex anxiety response which derives from a fear of not being accepted into their group or peers or those surrounding. There is an aspect of focussing the attention of those around them through their need. A difficulty is also that some of these patients reject therapies, which offer the chance of healing as they are dependent on the attention they get from their condition.

I am not saying that any of this is conscious at all but as a professional outsider I have to consider the underlying implications of all health conditions.

Many of our best competitive swimmers started out as asthmatics who were introduced to the sport as a means of controlling breathing. So also the Buteko regulated breathing technique is successful in so many cases.

I always advise parents of asthmatic childen never to be content to rely on medications alone and not to overuse them. Also, that they should introduce their children to any sport or activity which will allow them to control their breathing and focus their attention on achievement.

Herbs that include in my emotional Asthma Support formulation include: Chamomile, Elecampane, Vervain, Golden Seal and Marshmallow along with the Bach Flower Remedies Mimulus, Chicory, Larch, Pine and Rock Rose.
