Bad Breath can be real or imagined, when real it can be caused by something eaten and lodged in the teeth in combination with poor oral hygeine, odours from foods with high volatile oil content such as garlic and onion or from serious diseases of the liver, kidneys, lungs or diabetes.

Chewing Parsley, Peppermint leaves or Aniseed can leave a fresher taste and smell in your mouth.

If the bad breath is not coming from a tooth or gum infection then it is most certainly coming from a mucus problem in the throat or bronchials and can involve the diseases mentioned above.

If you want to test the affect of your diet on your breath just switch for one month to a totally vegetarian diet, no meat, fish, chicken or dairy products and just vegetables carbohydrates and fruit. No sugar, use honey as a sweetener. In addition do not drink any tea or coffee or carbonated drinks. Just use water with some fresh lemon juice in it and take at least two cups each daily of Rosehips and Dandelion Tea (from the health food store).

If you stuck to this program you would clean out your system and tone up the kidneys, liver and mucous membranes. However if this is not sufficient I would recommend an internal mix to support the liver and gall bladder that would include Dandelion, Garlic, Horseradish, Fenugreek, Chamomile and Echinacea along with the Bach Flowers Willow, Crab Apple and Rescue Remedy.

To give more individual and specific advice I would need a dietary and medical history and a report of your outcome on the cleansing diet as well as submitting to my online consultation program to be found on the link:
