It is important to realise that an abscess represents a body process which has already taken place insofar as your body has gathered together waste products or toxins, encapsulated them and tucked them out of harms way, as it were.
There are many traditional treatments used throughout the ages to assist the body expel toxins and I have chosen a number of the more safe and gentle ones as there is no benefit in radical purging.
The key to clearing abscesses however lies in breaking down the capsule wall. The herb Red Clover, which besides being a blood cleanser in its own right, has the specific action of thinning cyst walls so they can leak and discharge the stored toxins back into the bloodstream.
The whole list herbs I include in my standard abscess mix are: Echinacea, Garlic, Horsetail, Nettle, Pine Bark, Red Clover and Violet Leaves. Together these herbs will support the body in either discharging the abscess to the outside or in reabsorbing the encapsulated material into the bloodstream. Included also is the Bach Flower Remedy Crab Apple.
Blood cleansing herbal teas taken while clearing abscesses are helpful as well. Rosehips tea and Dandelion tea especially.
If you feel uncomfortable or nauseous while using this mix just cease taking it for a day or so and start back at a one quarter of the dose, building up slowly over the next 2 or 3 weeks.
Remember assisting bodily processes is best done gently and slowly and there are no prizes given to those who want to get the whole process over in an instant, there is only discomfort.
