Unknown - McDowell's Herbal Treatments

 It has always been difficult to get dog owners to mess about with brewing up traditional herbal worming formulations and then somehow get their dogs to take them. Most of you therefore, just opt for the chemical wormers which are either obtained from the Vet or over the counter, from pet shops and supermarkets.

The McDowells worming program utilises bitter and astringent herbs, which tone up the gut wall and expel worms, leaving the gut in better condition to manage its own parasite population.
The herbs and products in this program are traditionally used to make the environment unpleasant for intestinal parasites, whilst encouraging a healthy gut and microbiota population.

The worming treatments are the ones I have had most trouble getting all of you to accept into your programs as you consider them too much trouble. I can only stress however, that if you can worm without poisons, your dog and its digestive system are in better shape and they should be healthier and hopefully faster, if they are racing dogs.
