I have been adding 1 tablespoon of Rosehips daily to my horse's feed (without making it into a tea) is this safe to do? and is it safe to give Rosehips to horses long term? I have just discovered my 6yr old Thoroughbred has degenerative joint disease in her hock and I am looking for a herbal treatment that will help her in conjunction with other treatments I'm pursuing. I'm also wondering what are the best herbal sources of Zinc and Copper?

Rosehips is best soaked in water first and is a good source of copper as well. It is not unsafe to take dry just absorbed more slowly by a horses gut. Consult my bone healing page.
It would be good to start taking some Millet ,Linseed and Elecampane into the horse diet.
