Tippy's Story:
When Tippy was 1, I had her tested for allergies after she had several ear infections. The test showed that she was allergic to chicken, turkey, wheat, eggs and kelp. The environmental allergy list is veryextensive-orchard, redtop, timothy grasses, numerous weeds, aspen, maple and oak trees, numerous fungi, mixed feathers, cotton and malassezia.
I put Tippy on a raw food diet from Healthy Paws of Beef/Organ meats, fruit, veggies and bones.
Her vet at the time recommended a course of allergy shots which I was not in favor of. So we went to see a holistic vet in town. Tippy went through several different remedies over the next two years and I changed the meat in her diet to lamb. Nothing worked until we found Robert McDowell's Herbal Treatments. Tippy was started on Robert McDowell's Herbal Canine Skin Allergy-Irritation Acute and Skin Problems Blood Cleanser in October. In November Tippy developed severe ear infections and the Blood Cleanser was changed to a Blood Poisoning Treatment. By February 2008 she had made huge progress and was only scratching a little bit. It was smooth sailing from then on.
Tippy is now a beautiful 5 year old golden retriever who has been on McDowell's remedies since October. We get many compliments on how her fur looks. Nobody believes that she is a dog with allergies.

A link between the modern digital camera as incorporated in your mobile phone and the ancient art of 
Iridology. Iris Diagnosis, or Iridology, is the study and interpretation of the coloured part of the eye (the iris) to determine a person's basic constitution and to provide a reading on their current health situation.
The iris is directly connected to the brain via the optic nerve. The optic nerve is not a bundle of nerve fibres like those found in other parts of the body, but rather a projection of brain tissue connecting the brain directly to the eye and to the iris.
The iris therefore acts as an analogue display panel, giving a visual representation on the conditions of the various organs and systems of the body via the markings and coloration of the iris.
The modern science of Iridology was developed especially to read the indications in what we call the ethnic European iris. These irises show colours ranging from blue to brown and are characterised by visible fibre markings throughout the iris. This is opposed to the ethnic brown iris, as shown in the eyes of those native to central and east Asia and Africa, where no such fibres are visible.
Iridologists understand that the changing colours, patterns and markings in the iris can be used to reveal health problems and flag emerging conditions in every part of the body to provide warning of weaknesses that may lead to physical and emotional disorders.
Iridology cannot detect a specific disease. Rather, it identifies body processes and is a preventive practice that helps people to understand their basic health issues. With this information they are able to modify diet, supplements or exercise perhaps, and/or seek treatment if necessary, from appropriate health professionals.
The iridologist will examine the irises of your eyes using either an iris torch and magnifying glass or a specially designed Iriscope or camera that can enlarge the iris to the size of a dinner plate. This can be a rather dramatic sight, allowing you to appreciate the complexity of the iris's structure, with its numerous fibres and colours.
Your iris is as unique as your fingerprint and slowly changes reflecting the evolution of your health throughout your life.
The process is completely painless, safe, and non-invasive. While examining your irises, the iridologist will study the structure, colour and patterns looking for subtle signs of potential illness, such as symptoms of stress or changes of colour that may indicate an under-active system or poor elimination for example.

If you wish to participate in this test and also have us conduct an iris assessment you may email close-up photographs of both of your eyes identified as to the right and left side along with the user name and date which you submitted to the health assessment and we will email a report of our findings. The charge for this assessment is US $20.
Our interpretation of your irises will be more specific if we have to hand also the information provided in the questionnaire and we will be able to make a more constructive interpretation.
We also wish to inform and educate those who take the trouble to send information through to us as well as encourage them to self reflect on the impact of their own particular habits and life circumstances on the state of their health. In short we are not just offering the iris diagnosis service as a party trick.

Our Vet Tech Kate is arguably the most experienced small animal clinician. Before coming to us, she and her Vet husband owned and managed a clinic for small animals in Sydney. Kate has now been with Herbal Treatments well over 17 years and is relied upon for her extensive knowledge of illness and disease in domestic animals.
Kate is our small animal expert as well as having a very solid equine background, riding and handling horses since a teenager. Kate works 4 full time days each week and is in first hand contact with owners during the time they need help and advice as well as herbal treatments. Kate has intimate knowledge of the veterinary medical approach to dealing with problems and she is the person you should ask to talk to regarding existing treatments and medications.

George Peterson; After 17 years with Herbal Treatments George has worked his way into the position of Practice Manager. George is now central to the day to day work of the Herbal business. He manages workflows for Clinical staff and oversees the operations of the Herbal dispensary. George has limited mobility (caused by childhood Polio), but, thanks to the technologies of the 21st century the Practice can accomodate his needs by enabling work from his home/office, for much of the working week.
Other essential Staff. We have other staff who work for us either full or part time, in manufacturing herbal extracts land in packaging orders. Without these people we would not be able to do what we do.
We are associated with other manufacturers of herbal extracts who prepare some of our specific tinctures for grazing animals. These are mostly herbs extracted in organic apple cider vinegar.

Returns and Refunds Policy 2007: Overseas Customers
We no longer offer any refunds or returns on items that are sent outside of Australia. This is because items returned through Australian Customs and Quarantine often get seized and destroyed even though the original country of origin is Australia.
Please Do Not Send the Parcel back to Australia.
If you have purchased one of the Standard Human products and find that you no longer wish to use the product or that your circumstances have changed, we recommend you contact us to discuss other uses and storage of these Herbal Mixes.
With our Animal products you might consider donating any unused and or unopened Herbal Supports to a local animal shelter for use by other animals in need. Your Vet might also be able to suggest another "patient".
