Boogie, a rescue beagle, developed a mast cell tumor about the size of an orange on the front of her neck. I'm not certain of her age at the time since she was a rescue, but our estimate was that her age was close to 12 years at the time. Surgery was done in July ($2400) but the tumor returned in September. The vet recommended putting her down. We began herbal treatment in mid-September and the size of the tumor decreased to about the size of a golf ball within a few weeks. Boogie had no perceivable pain or discomfort and lived actively until January. She passed on while sleeping next to me on the sofa.
Molly, another beagle, began having symptoms of a bladder tumor in February with symptoms of difficult urination. The vet recommended putting her down but I turned to herbal treatment, using the remainder of Boogie's herbals. Within a week of starting treatment the urinary symptoms disappeared and she showed no more difficulty. Molly passed on naturally in mid-April at the age of 16.
I spent more than $2400 on the surgery for Boogie with poor results, and $100 on herbals for both Boogie and Molly. My satisfaction with herbals is not related to the cost, but to the gentle and effective results of the treatment. I continue to use herbal preparations for prevention of disease processes.
Not only have the treatments been beneficial to my beagles, but the caring and support have kept me from feeling that I faced these problems alone.
