Lameness, stiffness and soreness problems in horses are most often the result of structural problems which involve injury, calcification, decalcification, scar tissue and ligament damage of one sort or another, whether it be recent or in the past.
HEALING BONE AND LIGAMENTS
Hero is an off-the-track Thoroughbred who is 8 years old and 16.1hh. He was on paddock rest for a very large tear in his superficial digital flexor tendon. He was going well, so I was devastated that he had this injury and the prognosis was very guarded due to the extent of the tear.
