My 21 year old mare, Kiya, was diagnosed with asthma late 2022, following an upper respiratory infection that spread to her lungs over winter/spring. Prescribed seratide and with a horse inhaler (6 puffs) four times daily.
She hasn't needed any, 2-3 weeks into commencing the COPD program, as her wheezing has disappeared.
She has also started trotting and cantering in the paddock and when she's called in for dinner, whereas before she plodded along, stopping frequently to catch her breath.
