"My beloved 28 year old Arabian gelding, Zen, foundered in both front feet whilst I was overseas. He could barely walk and was in much pain compounded by an abscess in the sole of one foot.
Determined that he would recover from this debilitating ailment, I searched far and wide for effective alternative treatments and finally found McDowell's website!
On May 24th I began giving him Alleviate instead of the veterinary prescribed Phenylbutazone. After only 36 hours of administering the Alleviate and Infect-A-Clear instead of Bute, Zen's eyes brightened, he became quite serene and there was no sign of inflammation. I was so relieved! and so was he!
June 6th, I started Zen on a course of recommended Tendon and Bone. I saw an instant boost to his energy level... his muscles and bones began to radiate strength and vitality as he moved fluidly in his corral and he was completely off pain relief treatment.
It is now August 22nd and I am so happy at how wonderfully Zen is doing! He has completed the 10 week course of Bone and Tendon and is sound again! His enlarged crest has decreased to a normal size. His new hoof growth is at a healthy angle and I continue to apply McDowell's Hoof Oil daily.
