Reggie was found as a stray, totally matted and couldn’t even walk in early March. I was notified by the Animal Control in Huntsville, Alabama as they deemed him a Sheltie or Collie.
The little boy couldn’t even sit or pee or poop as he was so matted. No one claimed him.
They felt Reggie is about 9 years old. Animal control gave him shots, heartworm tested him (negative). He was already neutered. Of course we knew that the shots wouldn’t take as he was a sick dog, but only would effect his immune system negatively.
Through the next few months Reggie went on to have many surgeries due to cancer in the spleen, terrible teeth, severe arthritis, and bad skin conditions.
