My 13 year old lab/rotti, Rocci Wilson was put down this morning 11 months after his diagnosis of osteosarcoma.
I credit your mixes for keeping him here and happy this past 11 months. Other than your drops all he was taking was pain medication.
He had a turn this morning and the vet believes his hips gave out and old age (his cancer was on his front wrist).
The vet has not seen any evidence (even today when he was euthanized) that the cancer had spread except for the initial just noticeably bone lump on diagnosis and the tennis ball size on death. No signs that the cancer had spread internally at all.
Thank you for the advice and drops, he was happy even up until today when he just couldn't get up. He was energetic and even wanted a car ride last night so he must of known. It was sudden and peaceful which we are grateful for.
Thanks again for these last 11 months with our beautiful boy.
