When we adopted Sheena she was two years old. Our vet had rescued her. Eleven years later we took her in for a check up. She had a lump. We thought it was another fatty cyst, Sheena had a lot of those. Unfortunately the tests showed different results. We found out that our beloved Australian Cattledog had spindle cell cancer.
She was 13, had a bad heart, and had been badly abused the first two years of her life. Those things were all catching up to her. The Vet didn't give us much hope. Weeks, months, certainly not long.
