I hope that everyone had the opportunity to celebrate at least a little love this Valentines Day.
Love is the only reason we are all here - and being the eternal Romantic, I do feel that unconditional, spiritual and profound love is what the soul craves.
The problem is that most lovers are beset by life difficulties, which in turn can cause the breakdown of communication and therefore trust, which is the basis of such an open hearted experience of the Divine Essence of love...
It does not help that we are bombarded with images of "Easy Romance'...everyone else seems to do this right, but when we are faced with our own vulnerabilities and opening our heart to our beloved, we are faced with our own inner "Daemons"...which rise up and potentially sabotage even the most reverent and courageous of Lovers...
There is only one reason for all relationships - and that is to find the deepest parts of you, and be comfortable with these enough to show these to the Beloved. To be known completely in our entirety, compassionately to ourselves as well as to the other..
And the most noble of pursuits...
I hope that all who read this have a Lover, if not in their life in real time, in spirit and desire.
