"The best way to find the meaning of life is to find a life with meaning..." - McDowell's Herbal Treatments

It's important, when looking at the origins of illness, that we consider the spiritual principal.

Spirit, Quinta Essentia, the essence of life... Quintessence The fifth and highest essence after the four elements of earth, air, fire, and water, thought to be the substance of the heavenly bodies.

To tap into the source of who we really are is the quest of the seeker, the alchemical process of turning lead (inert matter) into gold (the light of human heart and consciousness).

I have had countless emails from clients around the world, who are well in every respect, except that they exhibit Hypertension.

They eat well and they exercise. But still, the high blood pressure remains a risk factor for them. They ask if there is a natural support for the medication that is prescribed.

In studying known causal factors of Hypertension, I came across a recent study that linked mental stress as a primary cause.

If you are looking for a natural cure for hypertension, eating well, exercise, meditation and living a life that is meaningful would have to be the prescription... not to mention some great kidney and circulation herbs to balance the sodium/potassium, and herbs to nourish the nerve plexus in the heart.

To live a life with heart and meaning is what it is all about.

For this reason I have included In this newsletter a wonderful rescue and rehabilitation story by one of our new clients Jude Bourguignon.

Jude rescued Shanti, a thoroughbred mare which had been left neglected in a paddock with little to no feed, and no water source. Shanti head been drinking out of puddles after rain and surviving on leaf litter and poor pasture.

Thankfully the seasons meant that she was OK with water, but she may have died very quickly with even a small period with out rain.

We are supporting Jude with the management of Shanti's rehabilitation, and we are tracking her progress and story over the next 12 months.
