We're all seeking that special person who is right for us... - McDowell's Herbal Treatments

But if you've been through enough relationships, you begin to suspect there's no right person, just different flavours of wrong. Why is this? Because you yourself are wrong in some way, and you seek out partners who are wrong in some complementary way. But it takes a lot of living to grow fully into your own wrongness. And it isn't until you finally run up against your deepest demons, your unsolvable problems—the ones that make you truly who you are—that we're ready to find a lifelong mate. Only then do you finally know what you're looking for.

You're looking for the wrong person. But not just any wrong person: the right wrong person—someone you lovingly gaze upon and think, "This is the problem I want to have.

"

I will find that special person who is wrong for me in just the right way.

Let our scars fall in love."

What can I say after a quote like this? It's beautiful in its honesty, and I think that we all can learn a little from this understanding. I like the idea of "perfection in our Imperfection" rather than wrongness, and of course, self acceptance is critical.

This is why, unless we look and explore into our inner selves, we can't know what or who we are eternally running from. We will tend to blame all outside forces as a reason not to act, and not to reach our true heart.

October has been a difficult month for many families who were caught up in the Blue Mountains bush fires, which are only 1 hour east of Bathurst where we live.

Many of my friends were in danger, particularly Tracey, our herbal clinician and Kinesiologist ( who many of you may be connecting with through our free online consultation service) and Claudia ( who makes our Organic Cider Vinegar in Bilpin). I am pleased to report that they are well and thankfully had no damage to their property.

Not so for many. My heart goes to all who are struggling to deal with the consequences of the fire, and I know of many animal owners who lost their precious companions, including many horses.

I encourage all who are in need of assistance from the fire to contact us, and see if we can aid you in some way.
