How things can change at the drop of a hat! The past few months have been quite slow with both Doreen, my horse, and myself injured at the same time, which results in being out of competition at the moment. My wonderful coach Megan Joerg has been exercising her for me for a couple of weeks now, slowly bringing her back into work for a fresh start in the new year.
McDowells have been amazing support during this tricky time, with Cath recommending Tendon and and Bone mix for a quicker recovery time for Doreen along with also some Bone Healer and Anti-inflammatory drops for myself to heal my wrist as quick as possible. Looking forward to being out again in the new year!
This meant having to scratch both of us from competing at the Australian National Interschool Championships. As much of a shame as it was, this made a very good chance to still go down the the Sydney International Equestrian Centre to support the NSW team which was lots of fun! My broken wrist has cost me a couple of events and doing lots of sport, but keeping a positive mindset about ‘there will always be another event’ or ‘there’s always next year’ and the happiness riding gives me has keep my spirits up. I
’ve had time to focus on other things in my life like, getting good rest, eating well and providing Doreen and myself with the best possible products from McDowells to get us both up and running again.
