Welcome our new Ambassador, Jessica! - McDowell's Herbal Treatments

"My passion is nature, herbs and horses! I love the quality, effectiveness and care put into McDowells products right down to their vibration level."

I believe that natural supports natural; meaning a horse supported with natural therapies physically, psychologically and spiritually will be able to utilize their natural athleticism, strength and endurance in everyday and competition settings. The Equestrian community in which I surround my horses in is one of natural horsemanship. People who began there, or where brought to this community through circumstances with a difficult horse suffering a physical or psychological condition only healed by natural therapies and compassionate horsemanship. These are the people who I often recommend help to, who follow my social media who understand the foundations of my training when I ride around a competition ring.

As I started in the traditional ring until my horse's health concerns brought me back to the bare basics of groundwork and physical rehabilitation. I attend pony club, combined training events, eventing competitions, showjumping competitions and other events organised by Equestrian Australia.

Everyone I know noticed the huge improvements in my horses health and performance and started asking for advice about what products I was taking. Only last year I have begun to receive a clientele for assisting people in their horsemanship, helping problem horses and adopted brumbies. They have so far advanced greatly, especially when the horsemanship work is supported with a behavioral or rehabilitation product of Mcdowells Herbal.

I am currently studying my intermediate herbalist course with the Herbal Academy, the international school of the herbal arts and sciences. My passions include Herbalism, Permaculture, Yoga, Horsemanship and my herd of dairy goats.

We have nine horses, including "Viewmont Unlatched" my main competition horse. Latch is a Warmblood X New Forest Pony whom I have had for 3 years. Latch is a beautiful Pinto gelding, who had some major underlying health issues when I first purchased him.

In 2018, when I competed in the McDowells Australian Brumby Challenge, I received first hand experience of how wonderful the McDowells products are, having seen them assist in transforming my brumby.

I soon started to use them to support my other horses as well.

Last year after moving to Dorrigo NSW in March 2020, Latch had a terrible tendon/ligament injury late that Autumn. He was on stall rest for a month with minimal improvement until I introduced the Mcdowells Tendon and Bone bucket, Alleviate and the Tendon and Bone Activator, which had him passing a ligament test with the equine chiropractor 8 weeks later with flying colours. I was so relieved and grateful to have him going around soundly and happily again. Another of my horses is VBA Galway,my Brumby from the 2018 brumby challenge. Galway is now 3yo and I have commenced pre-start training with him. Galway has developed in to a wonderful little horse who I enjoy thoroughly. My goals with him include my Parelli levels, eventing and some endurance.

My other main horse, Donlea Broadway or "Harry" is a Thoroughbred X Riding pony gelding with a beautiful kind soul. He is my main teaching and demo horse as I have spent 4 years getting to know and work with this beautiful boy. Alongside my horses, I use Mcdowells products to treat my dogs, my goats, myself and any unwell animal I encounter.

Thank you for the opportunity to promote such a wonderful company, I hope what I bring to the equestrian world is one that you feel aigns well with your purpose.
