"Magic is a 23 year old Quarter Horse gelding that I "rescued".
Magic was fearful of any strange objects, unknown or known people in his space, confined spaces and even his water tank. He would become quite distressed when it came to attending to his personal care and grooming, freezing solid until whatever they were doing, (brushing, spraying or putting on his blanket), was finished and he would become anxious and feel the need to escape. He disliked any movements that were not deliberate and presented with care and if he was in a situation that he did not like he would become disassociated. He also had very bad feet as well as over grown toes and under run and crushed heels.
Poor Magic was a very unhappy horse hurting from head to toe.
We got the Farrier and Vet to do their jobs and they were great, but we knew he needed something different. That's when I found McDowell's Equine Nervous Rehabilitation Mix. Very soon thereafter I ceased all Magic's other medications apart from the Equine Probiotic, and McDowells wonderful elixir.
Magic has been on the Nervous Rehabilitation Mix now for around 18 months and compared to how he was when he first arrived, I have a different horse.
Magic is now a happy, healthy horse. He is even going on trail rides, (something we were not prepared to do before, because of safety) and he enjoys every minute.
