Bow - Healthy and Happy after Nerve Sheath Sarcoma - McDowell's Herbal Treatments

Hi!
My name is Bow (pronounced with a long o). My mom adopted me from a local shelter. That was the happiest day of both our lives. I celebrated my 9th birthday this past January. I am a Yellow Lab/White Shepherd mix. I am happy, active and think I am a 6 month old pup. I will let mom tell you how a serious situation has gained me a great diet and wonderful quality of life.....
Bow.

......................

Bow developed a large mass just in front of her hip and just below her spinal cord. The vet I had been seeing at that time thought it best to remove the mass and biopsy it. The prognosis was a Nerve Sheath Sarcoma and treatment is radiation therapy. I was given the name of a specialist. Leaving the vet's office with that information left me devastated but also with a determination to learn more about Sarcomas and their treatment.

I immediately got online and began my research. I needed to know, how they grow, how they are treated and the life expectancy. Well, nothing I read gave me much hope. I did go to the specialist and, of course, they wanted to sign Bow up that day to begin her radiation therapy. They explained if I chose not to go that route the cancer would return rapidly and she would not live longer than 1 year. I chose to do more research, since this is a treatment I would not choose for myself due to the effects it has on the body.

I began searching for alternative treatments when I came upon the McDowell's website. Thank God I did! I ordered the Sarcoma Mix and Maritime Pine Bark formulas and have been using them ever since. I also changed the diets of all pets in my household (7 total). I also changed the food we had been using. I began by mixing the kibble with a raw diet then gradually removed all kibble.

I also sought out a homeopathic Vet here in my area. We added to the formulas IP6, AHCC, Colostrum and a multiple vitamin. In December, I found a small mass growing in the same area where the original mass was removed. After my initial panic, along with tears, I once again went online to do more reading. I added Omega 3, Allicin, and CoQ10. The mass is gone.

As you can see by the pictures, Bow is doing great. She acts like a pup, she and her brother (a 5 yr old male) go to Doggie Day Care twice a week, she looks better than she ever has. Bow is now cancer-free for 20 months and her quality of life is better than it could have ever been with radiation therapy.

We would like to thank McDowells and all those who assist him with his alternative treatments.
