Our sweet Boston Terrier, Cooper, came into our lives 5 years ago when he was a year and a half old. He was a rescue dog and we took him to be checked over by our vet. The vet immediately found a lump on his left haunch. He recommended that we have it removed. After the surgery the biopsy came back positive for a mast cell tumor. The lab also said that the margins were not big enough to ensure that the tumor was completely gone. By this time we had moved to another state and so we found a highly recommended surgeon who operated on Cooper. This time the results showed that the area was clear of cancerous cells.
We contacted the woman who had given Cooper to us just to let her know of his situation. She advised us to look at the McDowells website to find herbal support for him. UPDATE: Cooper continues to be a healthy happy little guy 7 years after his original diagnosis. McDowells staff are so helpful and seem to care as much as we do about our four legged friends.
