Signs of a throat infection are:

  • Constant coughing
  • Swallowing motions
  • Gagging
  • Unable to swallow causing excessive drooling
  • Not eating or drinking

A sore throat could be caused by:

  • Something lodged in the animal's gullet
  • Strep throat
  • Parvo
  • Distemper
  • tonsillitis
  • Laryngitis
  • Periodontal disease 

McDowells Products

This mixture is given by syringe as a drench directly into the mouth or throat best mixed with cold rosehips tea or water. This treatment is all that is required to assist the dog's own immune system to overcome a throat or tonsil infection quickly and effectively.

The herbal mix includes the herbs: Echinacea, Garlic, Rosehips, Thyme, Violet Leaves and Yarrow along with the Bach Flowers Hornbeam, Olive and Wild Rose.

The treatment program should be continued for four weeks after all signs of infection have gone to build the immune system back up to 100%. The follow-through treatment is also important to completely repair any damage to soft tissue within the throat and to clear toxins left over after the infection.
