Make your own hand and body sanitiser - McDowell's Herbal Treatments

Using a hand sanitiser can be helpful at any time you may not be able to wash your hands with soap and water. Commercially available sanitisers can be harsh and drying on the skin and not always available! It's easy and cheap to make your own and you can adjust it using different essential oils with antibacterial properties.

Ingredients:

1/2 cup pure aloe vera gel
1 cup of high quality collodial silver
15 drops tea tree oil
15 drops lavendar, eucalyptus or lemongrass oil
5 drops vitamin E oil (optional, but this helps soften hands!)

Method:

This recipe couldn't be more simple! Just mix the ingredients together in a jug or bowl.
Using the funnel, carefully pour your hand sanitizer into the spray bottle, screw the top of your bottle on tight, and begin using. Shake gently before each use.
